Royal Oak Arts Council President, Former Teacher Dies at Age 82
Lorna Wildon worked as a teacher and drama program director at Royal Oak Kimball High School for 31 years.

Longtime Royal Oak resident Lorna M. Wildon died April 12 at the age of 82.
Wildon, the current president of the Royal Oak Arts Council, spent 30 years working at Royal Oak Kimball High School as a teacher and director of the drama program, according to her obituary.
Also a singer, actress and artist, Wildon performed in New York and Michigan including appearances with the Detroit Civic Theatre and she has earned several awards for her oil and watercolor paintings, the obituary states.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home in Royal Oak.
