Royal Oak Employees Push for Wellness Progams, Animal Shelter Committee Ordinance on Agenda

The Royal Oak City Commission meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall.
The following items are among the issues on the agenda. Click on links for more information:
- Animal Shelter Committee ordinance amendment: The amendment is intended to to clarify that the Animal Shelter Committee is to serve an advisory function, not to set policy.
- Repeal of Municipal Cable Access Committee ordinance: Commissioners will consider repealing the Municipal Cable Access Committee ordinance, which was established in 1994, in its entirety.
- Planning Commission recommendation for conditional rezoning of 600 East 11 Mile Road: A petitioner proposes to establish American Interlock within the first floor and lower level of the existing building. American Interlock sells, services, and installs ignition interlock devices for automobiles.
- Health and Wellness Committee recommendations: Commissioners will consider recommendations of a volunteer committee to offer city employees programs designed to prevent illness, reduce the need for costly prescriptions, and reduce the risks of injury.
