Royal Oak Figure Skating Team Finish Strong at State Championships

As a team, the girls ranked fourth in their division.

Three girls on Royal Oak's High School figure skating team competed this weekend at the Michigan High School State Championship held at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.

At an individual level, Anna Thompson, Isabel Marcelletti and Kaitlyn Davidson and all made it to finals. (Sondra Benoit, sophomore, was scheduled to compete but had to scratch due to an ankle injury.)

Anna Thompson, sophomore, competed in the Juvenielle Test Track (TT). In the first round, Thompson took third place out of six girls, in the finals she took sixth place out of eight girls.

Isabel Marcelletti, sophomore, competed in the Pre-Juevenielle TT. In the first round, Marcelletti took third place out of six girls, in the finals she took fifth place out of nine girls. 

Kaitlyn Davidson, freshman, competed in the Juvenielle TT.  In the first round, Davidson took second place out of seven girls, in the finals she took second place out of eight girls.

As a team, the girls ranked fourth in their division.
