Royal Oak High School Rocks Its Own Lip Dub

Students lip-synch through the high school to the tune of 'Home.'

Royal Oak High School students and staff collaborated to show off their school pride while singing and dancing for the school's very own lip dub video. The project was the brainchild of Interim Principal Jim Moll.

“Big thanks go out to Michael Conrad, our video production teacher, and all of his kids. Mike gave them some guidelines and they took off with it. It’s really a student driven project,” Moll said. “So the success of this thing will really be due to all of the hard work that our students have put into it.”

A lip dub combines lip-synching and audio dubbing to make a music video. In this case, Royal Oak High School students are lip-synching over ‘Home’ by Phillip Phillips.

The video ends in the school gymnasium with Moll, who is retiring at the end of this school year, handing the keys to the building over to the school's new principal, Mike Van Camp.

"I couldn't have had a more spirited start," Van Camp said. "It was beautiful."
