Royal Oak Police Blotter Update: Vehicle Theft, Larceny

This week's update from Royal Oak Police contained three OUIs, two disorderly conducts, and much more. See what area police have been up to.

The Royal Oak Police Department released its weekly update, detailing crimes they've investigated in the area. For the week of Jan. 25 through Feb. 1, there were 40 arrests total, and police received calls for larceny, vehicle theft and malicious destruction of property.

Breaking and Entering

32000 block of Woodward. Sometime between 3:30 p.m. on an. 25 and 7 a.m., Jan. 26, an unknown suspect(s) removed plywood from a window and stole several construction tools from a business under construction.

800 block of W. Fourth St. On Jan. 26, at 10:50 p.m.. An unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle from an unlocked detached garage.

300 block of S. Maple. Sometime between 8:00 pm on Jan. 26 and 9:25 a.m. on Jan. 27, an unknown suspect(s) stole a snow blower and bicycle from an unlocked, detached garage. The bicycle was found on a neighbor’s property and returned.

Vehicle Theft

1000 block of Bellaire Ave.. On Jan. 29 between 1 p.m. and 4:56 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole a parked 2007 Chevrolet from a driveway.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle

26000 block of Woodward. On Jan. 25 between 10 a.m. and 3:57 p.m., an
unknown suspect(s) stole the license plate off a parked vehicle.

300 block of S. Maple. Sometime between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Jan. 26, an unknown suspect(s) stole loose change, binoculars, and cell phone power chords from a pair of unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway.

300 block of S. Maple. On Jan. 26, between 9 p.m. and 9:15 a.m., an unknown
suspect(s) stole several pieces of winter clothing from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway.

1900 block of Barrett. Sometime between Jan. 27 at 9:45 p.m. and Jan. 28 at 7 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole a GoPro camera from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway.

3601 W Thirteen Mile (Beaumont Hospital). Sometime between Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 3 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole the a license plate from a parked vehicle.

Larceny

112 E. Third St (Rock on Third). Sometime between 9 p.m.on Jan. 23, and 12:45 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet from a female patron’s purse while inside the establishment.

300 block of E. Parent Ave.. Between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Jan. 30, and unknown suspect(s) stole several cameras that had been delivered to the lobby area of the building.

Malicious Destruction of Property

100 S. Main St. (Cantina Diablo’s). On Jan. 28 at 1:43 a.m., a male suspect threw the victim’s business laptop to the ground, causing it to break. Officers located the suspect, who was also causing a disturbance inside the business, and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct and Malicious Destruction of Property.

100 N. Dorchester Ave., Between 6 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 9 p.m. on Jan. 28, an
unknown suspect(s) slashed both passenger side tires on the victom’s 2016 Ford.
