Royal Oak Police Make 3 Assault Busts
The Royal Oak Police Department made 41 arrests during a busy March 30 through April 6 period.

ROYAL OAK, MI — The Royal Oak Police Department made 41 arrests during a busy March 30 through April 6 period. That included three assault and battery cases as well as one fleeing and eluding incident and three arrests for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated charges.
Misdemeanor warrant arrests were the largest category for the period with 11 arrests made, according to Royal Oak Police Department reports. The number of arrests were up compared to the previous period, from March 23-30, when 35 arrests were made. Here’s a closer look at this week’s crime report:
Larceny
300 block of Oakland, 3-30-17, 12:42 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole a package from his front porch which had been delivered by UPS.

Larcenies from a motor vehicle
1200 block of W. Farnum, 4-1-17 – 4-2-17, 7:30 p.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the driver side window to her 2015 Jeep and stole the in-dash navigation system.
600 block of N. Blair, 4-2-17, 1:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the driver side window to her 2015 Jeep and stole the in-dash navigation system.

3500 block of W. Fourteen Mile, 4-2-17 – 4-3-17, 12:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear passenger window to her 2015 Jeep and stole the in-dash navigation system.
1700 block of Gardenia, 3-30-17, 12:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole the license plate from his parked vehicle.
