Shrine Students Volunteer at Gleaners in support of Hunger Action Month

On Monday, students from Shrine Catholic Schools in Royal Oak volunteered for Gleaners Community Food Bank. They helped unload and sort 40,000 pounds of fresh produce in support of Hunger Action Month.

The food was donated by Sony Pictures Animation's new movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. The film opens near the end of Hunger Action Month - Sept. 27 - and joining the event were costume characters Sam Sparks and Barry.
