Small Fire Hits Royal Oak Recycling Plant
Royal Oak firefighters extinguished the fire Wednesday afternoon.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A small fire at Royal Oak Recycling on Hudson Street was quickly extinguished by firefighters Wednesday afternoon. The fire started on a conveyor machine at the recycling facility, causing a sprinkler system to be activated and a buildup of smoke. No injuries were reported, according to a Daily Tribune report.
“They had a fire inside one of the machines,” said Fire Chief Dave Cummins. “It doesn’t look as though there was any structural damage from the fire.”
