Taco Bell Cantina Opens In Royal Oak
Upscale Version Of Chain Waiting On Liquor License

Michigan’s first Taco Bell Cantina opened in Royal Oak this week, but cannot offer alcohol - yet. This slightly upscale take on Taco Bell offers all the chain’s familiar menu items, but served sit-down style and without paper wrappings. The new outlet in Royal Oak will also serve alcohol as soon as they receive state approval for their license, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Taco Bell Cantinas lack a drive-thru and offer more menu items than at typical Taco Bells. The cantinas offer a shareables menu with items like chili cheese burritos, chili potatoes and mini quesadillas. The cantinas serve “freezes” in fruity flavors, and both “virgin” and alcoholic versions will be available in Royal Oak as soon as the cantina is licensed.
