Watch Royal Oak Police Nab Suspected Serial Bank Robber
A Royal Oak patrol car can be seen chasing down the suspect in six bank robbery cases.
Royal Oak police were involved in a car chase Wednesday afternoon that ended with a bank robbery suspect being taken into custody without further incident.
This video, courtesy of the Royal Oak Police Department, is from the dashboard video camera in one of the city’s high-technology patrol cars.
The police pursuit went through multiple communities with Beverly Hills, Berkley and Southfield officers assisting.

“I want to commend the officers involved in pursuit,” said Royal Oak Police Chief Corrigan O’Donohue. “It was a dangerous pursuit. The weather was bad and they used good tactics and judgment.”
Royal Oak police have also been working closely with the FBI and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department since Dec. 26 when the PNC Bank on Main Street was robbed, O'Donohue said.

“All the departments working together is what made this investigation successful,” O’Donohue said.
