Community Invited to Shape Search For New Principal

The district is inviting the community to participate in two forums and fill out online surveys. Students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators and members of the community will provide feedback that will be used build a candidate profile to be used in the search for a new high school principal.

The high school student forum takes place at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 1. The parent and community member forum is at 6:30 p.m. Both forums takes place Feb. 1 in the high school media center.

The district is also asking residents to participate in online surveys. One survey is for high school students. The other survey is for parents and community members.

The is expected to yield a candidate for the board of education by May. It is expected the new principal will be in place by July 1.

Former principal to become superintendent at Central Lake Public Schools. Eric Diroff, who was assistant principal, is interim principal. Athletic Director Rob White and assistant athletic director Joe Palka were named assistant principals.
