Fisher Pumps In Seven Goals in Hornet Win

James Fisher scored seven goals as Saline defeated host Okemos 16-14 Monday.

Fischer scored three of his goals during a six-goal third period that helped the Hornets pull away. he also had six steals and three assists.

Lucas Allent has a nice all around effort, as well, scoring four goals, assisting on seven and coming up with nine steals. Tom Walls added three goals for the Hornets. Also scoring were Michael Bundas and Louis Remenapp.

Will McCullough made seven saves and also had two assists.

The Hornets led 4-2 on two goals by Fisher and goals by Allen and Walls after the first period. But Okemos exploded for six goals in the second period. Fisher and Walls scored for Saline and Okemos led 8-6 at half. Fisher scored three goals, Allen scored twice and Remenapp scored once as the Hornets outscored Okemos 6-2 in the third to regain the lead, 12-10. Walls, Fisher, Allen and Bundas scored goals in the fourth quarter for the Hornets.

JV Hornets Win, Too

The junior varsity team also won a close game, 10-9.

Jacob Aulisa scored five goals to lead the team. Ryan Glatz and Kevin Fisher each scored twice. Cameron Tubbs also scored. Kevin Fisher had three assists.
