Hundreds Celebrate Harvest on Saline's Rentschler Farm

The Saline Area Historical Society hosted the Harvest on the Farm celebration at th Rentschler Farm Museum Sunday afternoon.

Guests toured the old farmhouse, which is preserved as a depression-era homestead. Animals were a big attraction. Guests fed the pigs and greeted newborn calves from Drake's dairy farm.

Vendors from the Saline Farmers Market set up in another barn. One vendor displayed antique phonogrpahs.

For entertainment, the Saline Area Players put on two Jack and the Beantin productions. The New Horizons Band performed a set early in the afternoon.
