Rec Center Offers Daycare During Heritage Closure

With the classes canceled at Monday so that people can attend the , the is offering child care services.

Recreation Supervisor Sunshine Lambert said the center received several calls from parents asking if the center will provide child care after the unexpected closure.

"The answer is yes. I am putting together a camp day at the Rec Center," Lambert said.

Here are the details:

• Drop off as early as 7 a.m. Pick up as late as 6 p.m.

• Students need to bring a sack lunch with extra food for a snack, swim suit and towel for afternoon swimming and gym shoes.

• Cost is $30 per student.

• To register, contact the Rec Center at 429-3502 or stop by in person. 

Lambert asks parents to register on Sunday so that organizers can get an idea of staffing needs. Monday registrations will be accepted provided space is available.
