Records Fall as Saline Swimmers Win
David Boland set a school record in the 100-yard backstroke.

The Saline Hornets boys’ swim and dive team passed another test Saturday, defeating Hunting Valley University School 113-72 at .
Adam Whitener and Josh Ehrman each won two events and David Boland set a school mark in the 100-yard backstroke to lead the Hornets to victory.
The Hornets won all three relays, including the day’s opening event, in which Tom Walls, Ehrman, Boland and Michael Bundas set a pool record, finishing the race in 1:56.75.

Adam Whitener won his first event of the day in the 200-freestyle, finishing in 1:43.80. James Fisher was second in 1:47.07.
Ehrman’s first individual victory of the day came in the 200-yard medley. Erhman finished the race in 1:52.35, setting a pool record. Boland was second in 1:53.54.

Michael Bundas won the 50-yard freestyle event, completing the sprint in 22.39 seconds.
Saline’s Sam Blair, Ethan Johnson and Dustin Wall went 1-2-3 in diving. Blair won the event with 227.4 points.
Fisher won the 100-yard butterfly in 52.82 seconds. Matt Stevens was third in 55.56 seconds.
Whitener’s second victory came in the 100-yard freestyle, where he finished in 47.07 seconds. Bundas was third in 50.30.
Ehrman’s second victory came in the 500-yard freestyle. Ehrman finished the race in 4:45.22. Matt Sieffert was second in 4:59.69.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Whitener, Fisher, Bundas and Ehrman was first in 1:28.17.
Boland set a school record in the 100-yard breaststroke (52;12), but had to settle for second behind University’s Kevin Stang (51:58), which is the new pool record.
Lucas Allen was second in the 100-yard breaststroke, behind University’s Gordon Wong. Allen’s time was 1:05.62. Geoffrey Duong and Will McCullough placed third and fourth, respectively, for the Hornets.
Saline finished the day with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Whitener, Fisher, Walls and Boland finished in 3:15.15.
