Saline School Board Candidates Holden and Zimmer Schedule "Chalk Talks"

Residents are invited to talk with school board candidates David Holden and David Zimmer at four different events.

David Holden and David Zimmer, who have teamed up to run for the two open positions on the Saline School Board in the Nov. 8 election.

As part of their dual campaign, Holden and Zimmer have scheduled a series of informational “Chalk Talks” to discuss school board issues and to introduce themselves to those who haven’t had an opportunity to meet them. Upcoming “Chalk Talk” times, dates and Saline locations include:

  • 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at
  • 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at
  • 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Brecon Room B of the

In a press release, Holden and Zimmer said that they hoped a large number of voters would attend the “Chalk Talks” so they could add their views and opinions to those gathered from a large number of door-to-door visits – and later incorporate them into the campaign.

Holden and Zimmer also said they are running an informational campaign and are expected to discuss, among other issues, the Saline School District’s financial model, its Reserve Fund and reducing class sizes.
