Support A Local Tradition

Turning Through Time - an 18th century dinner, dance and silent auction to benefit the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps is familiar to so many, their old melodies and drums that thunder above applause. Audiences lining sidewalks stand and salute as they march on, like musicians and soldiers of long ago. A true community loves a parade, and parades love the honor and tradition embodied by the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps.

As the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps prepare for their 46th season of mentoring youth and entertaining Main Streets throughout Michigan and beyond, they are also introducing a unique opportunity for individuals and organizations.

Turning Through Time – an 18th century dinner, dance and silent auction to benefit the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps – will take place April 21, 2017, at The Mayflower Meeting House in historic downtown Plymouth. We are looking for businesses, organizations and individuals who would like to partner with the Corps by sponsoring their event donating products/services for a silent auction, and helping them spread the word. Scheduled during the evening are Glen Morningstar Jr., and the Ruffwater Stringband who will guide guests through historical dances, and the current Corps will perform their concert after having returned from band camp.

Your tax-deductible partnership is an opportunity to have a hand in helping raise young leaders and support them as they represent our community nationally and internationally. The discipline, musical training and excellence the members of the Corps strive for is something to be commended, and celebrates the 40+ year legacy of our organization.

If you have items that you would like to donate for this event’s silent auction, or if you would like more information about how you or your organization can support this event and the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, please contact the Turning Through Time event coordinator, Audra Pieknik by phone at 248.259.3225 or by email at audra@pfdc.us.
