When Does Curbside Yard Waste Collection Begin in Saline?
Find out when you can get to work in the garden and what refuse you can leave out for pickup.

Spring brings sunshine, twittering robins, bursting buds, flowers poking up through the soil and lots of cleanup in the yard.
Fortunately, curbside yard waste collection begins Thursday, April 4, on the same day as regular trash pickup, and continues through the last week of November, according to the City of Saline.

The city's website lists the following as acceptable and unacceptable items for curbside yard waste collection.
Acceptable
- Grass clippings
- Leaves
- Garden debris
- Shrubs
- Brush and branches
Unacceptable
- Sod
- Pet waste
- Brush/branches exceeding 4-inches in diameter or 4 feet in length
- Tree stumps / logs / wood
- Dirt / rocks
- Trash
- Loose material
