Meanwhile, a few houses away, police said three bags full of new clothes were stolen from the trunk of a 2010 Dodge Journey.

The vehicle’s owner told police she had parked her SUV in the driveway at 7:45 p.m. She had left the bags of clothes, which was valued at about $200, in the trunk because she was planning on returning the merchandise the next day.

The next morning, she called police when she realized the bags were gone.

Evidence technicians were called to the scene to look for latent ridge structures, but there were no signs of forced entry.
