Body Discovered At Abandoned Gravel Pit In Shelby Township
Police transported the dead man to the Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office Monday night.

Police in Shelby Township are trying to find out how a man whose body was discovered in an old gravel pit died. The body was found Feb. 19 between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. near Hixson and Barclay, in the southwest part of Shelby Township, Deputy Chief Mark Coil told the Detroit Free Press.
Police are withholding details about the man’s identity until they can notify his next of kin.
