Got Big Wedding News This Holiday Season? Tell Patch About it

 I know it's cliché and all, but the fact is the holidays motivate many in-love men to pop the "big question."

There are countless articles online instructing men on how to cleverly propose during the holidays.

And in the past few weeks I have read them all.

I have been helping a certain family member research inventive ways to weave in the holidays with his wedding proposal.

We discussed every idea from watching an old Christmas movie and dropping the ring at the bottom of the popcorn bowl to writing out the proposal with roses in the snow or Christmas lights on the house.

But in the end my big brother, Marco Cracchiolo, decided to wrap the ring inside of a big box to throw his girlfriend, Milena Guttierez, off his tracks.

But Milena later told us she knew something special must have been inside of the big box because as she opened it on Christmas morning with the whole immediate family around, she noticed everyone stop in midst of opening gifts and begin to stare.

I am pretty sure my taking video and tears of happiness streaming down my face as she upwrapped the gift were a dead giveaway too.

But in the end, she accepted and the family opened up a bottle of champagne to celebrate the beginning of the happy couple's journey together.
