The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said Will smashed into the rear of a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix that was on southbound Van Dyke Avenue between 34 and 35 Mile Road around 7 p.m. Aug. 30. The Pontiac's driver, Michael Ray Bowlsby, was waiting to make a left hand turn into the Romeo Rim Plant parking lot. The impact forced Bowlsby's vehicle into the northbound travel lane where it was struck by a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by a 58-year-old Shelby Township man.
Bowlsby was transported to Henry Ford Hospital where he died. The Shelby Township man was also transported to Henry Ford Hospital to be treated for injuries.

The Clifford and Shelby Township drivers were wearing their seat belts, but deputies say it is unknown at this time if Bowlsby was as well.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident, and the roads were clear and dry, the sheriff's office reports.
