CANCELED: MET Match event in Shelby Township

CANCELED: The Michigan Education Trust (MET) is offering a $100 match and enrollment fee waiver for each new prepaid tuition contract purchased at four upcoming college savings information sessions in Southeast Michigan.

MET, administered by the Michigan Department of Treasury, allows contract holders to lock in future college tuition costs at today’s prices.

“We’re always striving to make saving for college as easy as possible for Michigan families, and we’re hopeful that the $100 match and enrollment fee waiver will encourage those who haven’t started yet to begin setting at least some money aside,” said Robin Lott, MET executive director.

The MET match event will be on March 16 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Shelby Township Senior Center, 14975 21 Mile Road, Shelby Charter Township

Only one account per beneficiary qualifies for the match and fee waiver, and MET will make the match after account holders complete their purchase of at least one credit hour of prepaid tuition.
