Help Reconnect Missing Yorkie With Owner
Patch.com reader trying to reunite missing Yorkie with owner.
A Patch.com reader has gone to great lengths to try and connect a missing male Yorkie with its owner.
Nina Castellana found the scared Yorkie on Sept. 10 in front of her home on 25 and Dequindre, which is on the border of Rochester and Shelby Township.
"I was going to take my dog for a walk and he started following us," she said. "He didnβt actually want anything to do with me, but then he was following my dog so I picked him up."

Castellana said the Yorkie was trembling, but didn't appear to have been outside for long because he was clean and recently groomed.Β
However, he did not have a tag.

Castellana said she notified each and every neighbor about the missing dog, posted fliers around the subdivision and Rochester, posted announcements on Craigslist and contacted all the local police departments and animal shelters.
"I have done basically everything I can do for this dog but I am not stopping. My boyfriend and I are determined to reunite this pooch with its owner," Castellana told Patch.
In the meantime, the sweet-faced Yorkie has melted the heats of Castellana and her boyfriend, Sam Marino.
"Heβs already attached to me and him," she said, referring to the Yorkie who spends the day with her and the evenings with Marino.
"Worst case scenario, if nobody claims the dog, I would be more than happy to take care of him," she said.
However, Castellana knows that somewhere out there, the Yorkie's owner is looking for the special pooch.Β
