Pedestrian Hit, Killed on Hall Road
A man was struck and killed while crossing Hall Road early Sunday morning.

The Clinton Township police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on Hall Road early Sunday morning.
An unidentified 47-year-old man was killed while trying to walk across the eastbound lanes of Hall Road at Dalcoma Road, which is between Hayes and Garfield roads, said the Clinton Township police.
Lt. Raymund Macksoud said in a news release that the 58-year-old woman who struck the victim was driving eastbound, immediately stopped and remained at the scene until police arrived.

The victim was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name is not being released until his family is notified.
The victimβs vehicle was found on the left lane of Hall Road with its emergency flashers activated.

Police said they are not sure if the victim pulled over because of mechanical problems.
Macksoud said they do not believe alcohol was a factor for the 58-year-old driver who hit the pedestrian, but they are still not sure if the victim had alcohol in his system.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Macksoud at 586-493-7800 (ext. 7266).
