Two Injured in Stabbing at Shelby Township Apartment Complex

The Shelby Township police debunk previous media reports that two people were found stabbed to death in an apartment complex Friday morning. However, two people did suffer minor injuries Friday from a stabbing.

The Shelby Township police are investigating a double stabbing Friday morning at the Lakeside Park Apartment Complex.

The police were called around 10:30 a.m. after a friend of one of the victims came to the apartment and found the two injured.

A 73-year-old female was taken to a nearby hospital and is being treated for minor injuries, said Detective Lieutenant Stan Muszynski.

The 52-year-old male victim refused treatment for his injury.

Muszynski debunked previous media reports that two people were found stabbed to death in the apartments Friday morning. The case remains under investigation, but Muszynski told Patch he believes the injuries were most likely the result of a domestic dispute.
