Shelby PD Investivate Rash of Car Break-ins

Seven vehicle break-ins and an attempted vehicle theft were reported on Aug. 31 within blocks of each other.

A rash of car break-ins and attempted vehicle thefts were reported last weekend near Dequindre and Auburn roads.

According to Crimedar, a new online police activity tracking system, there were seven vehicle break-ins and one attempted vehicle theft reported on the same day.

The tracking website does not always give a detailed description on the items reported stolen. Also, police would not comment whether the break-ins were related.
