Shelby Township Restaurant Competes for Top Honors in Detroit Burger Brawl
The Metropolitan Cafe in Shelby Township will enter their Metro Burger at the annual Burger Brawl in Eastern Market.

Metro Detroit’s leading restaurant chefs will compete head-to-head in a hamburger grinding and grilling challenge at the Detroit Burger Brawl 2013 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Fairway Packing, 1313 Erskine, in Eastern Market.
Metro Detroit’s leading restaurant chefs will compete head-to-head in a hamburger grinding and grilling challenge at the Detroit Burger Brawl 2013 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Fairway Packing, 1313 Erskine, in Eastern Market.
Restaurants, including The Metropolitan Cafe in Shelby Township, will create their own special meat blend on-site, grill up their creations and face a panel of judges that will determine the winner.
The last burger standing will be named “Detroit’s Best Burger of 2013.”
Burger-lovers are invited to taste competition burgers, watch the action and enjoy Historic Eastern Market for a suggested $10 donation.
