Sterling Heights Carnival Opens Today
With warm weather finally breaking, the first fair in the area is gearing up for its grand opening weekend.
Crews are putting the finishing touches on the Sterling Heights Carnival, which is set to open at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The first fair of the year, located in the Sterling Center Shopping Center on the west side of Schoenherr Road, just south of Hall Road, will run through two weekends, May 12-15 and May 19-22.
A $20 armband will give you unlimited access to all fair rides for a whole day and night. The fair will be open at 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, noon on Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays.

Clean restrooms will be available at the Heritage Church, which is located behind the fair. The church will also have free inflatables for children and a free concert in the parking lot on May 13 and May 20 at 7 p.m.
