This Friday, visit Meijer in Shelby Township for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.

Couldn't get tickets for the World Series? No worries, there's still hope.

Meijer is teaming up with Major League Baseball to give away a pair of free tickets to the 2012 MLB World Series Friday. Just show up to the Detroit Tigers Tailgate Pep Rally celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Meijer in Shelby Township, located at 15055 Hall Rd, for a chance to win.

In celebration of the World Series, Meijer customers are invited to enjoy free hot dogs, games, giveaways, and prizes that include Detroit Tigers officially authenticated game-used items. Coupons for MLB merchandise will also be handed out.

One lucky fan will walk away from the pep rally two World Series tickets richer.

Tigers fans are welcome to eat, celebrate and share their hopes for Justin Verlander, Prince Fielder and the rest of the Detroit Tigers.

The following week, Meijer customers will have a chance to meet Olympic Gold Medalist and Michigan native Jordyn Wieber at the Auburn Hills Meijer store. Wieber will be on hand to meet with customers and sign autographs Nov. 3 from 12 to 1 p.m.
