The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

St. Clair Shores police are investigating an armed robbery of the T-Mobile store on 9 MileΒ about 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by a man wearing a black ski mask with a gray or light blue jacket, blue shorts and white tennis shoes.Β

The man, described asΒ about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 230 pounds, 40 to 50 years old and walking with a noticeable limp,Β entered the storeΒ carrying two "laundry type bags," according to a release from the St. Clair Shores police, and pulled out a handgun once inside.

The suspect then ordered all the customers to the ground, and demanded one T-Moible to put money into one of the bags while ordering another employee toΒ
put iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy cellular phones in the other bag. Β

He then told the customers and employees in the store that he has ”AIDS and would shoot them allΒ if the police showed up because he had nothing to lose,” according to a release.Β

The suspect retrieved the bags and fled the store. He entered a late-model, burgundyΒ Chevrolet Impala or Malibu driven by female with blond hair. The car, with a license plate that includedΒ 0M0 or DMD,Β fled south on Eastlawn.Β

Police report that there were no injuries, and the suspects left with anΒ undisclosed amount of cash with more than 20 cellular phones. Β

Investigators do not believe that robbery is connected to a recentΒ string of robberies at the St. Clair Shores, and other, T-Mobile stores.
