Police Seek Hit and Run Driver

Police are seeking tips from anyone who may have witnessed a hit and run accident about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on eastbound 9 Mile, just east of I-94, at West Industrial Dr. Â
According to investigators, an unidentified driver of a silver Porsche pulled into the path of a 51-year-old woman driving a motorcycle and knocked her to the pavement.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but sustained injury and was treated at the hospital. Â
Police reported the driver of the Porsche failed to stop and identify themselves or render aid and fled the scene, continuing east on 9 Mile, then south on Pallister. Â
Witnesses reported that the license plate contained a "V" and a "5" or "8."Â
