CVS Pharmacy Robbery Suspect Facing Other Charges

An Eastpointe man charged with alleged robbery of two St. Clair Shores CVS Pharmacy is a suspect in several more holdups, police say.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — An Eastpointe man arrested in connection with a pair CVS Pharmacy robberies in St. Clair Shores has also been charged in similar holdups in at least seven other incidents in Macomb and Wayne counties. Mohamed Mohamoud Abdi, 32, was arrested by Grosse Pointe Woods Police after his alleged second St. Clair Shores robbery in as many days on Oct. 18, according to a Macomb Daily report.

“According to a criminal complaint, while Abdi was being processed at the St. Clair Shores Police Department, he told Officer Stephen Stindt that he “did what he did to feed his twins.”
“During the arrest, police found a loaded Smith & Wesson revolver in his console, along with a CVS bag containing $506.”
