Local Volunteers Working for Pet-Related Charities
A group of local volunteers have formed an organization to help raise funds for local animal-based advocacy groups.

Across St. Clair Shores, and surrounding communities, a number of animal-based organizations are working to help dogs and cats.
But who is working to help the organizations?
Deborah Vitale, and other volunteers, saw this need and formed Angels Supporting Animals which helps raise funds to assist these organizations fulfill their mission.

"We are the missing link between the public and smaller groups that are doing wonderful work," said Vitale. "Our hope is that as we grow, and get more volunteer support, we are going to do more and more."
The organization is joining with 4 Paws 1 Heart to host a fundraiser from 6-11 p.m. Saturday at Colleen's Irish Pub to support the St. Clair Shores K-9 Unit. The unit is in need of approximately $2,000 in supplies to enhance the unit.
