Put On Your Sneakers! The Walk To Warmth Event Is Nearly Here
The Walk To Warmth Event raises money to help low-income Macomb County residents with heat-related emergencies like paying a utility bill.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Lace up your sneaks! Registration is now open for the Macomb Community Action 27th Annual Walk for Warmth event, according to a press release. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18 at Macomb Mall in Roseville.
Money raised by Walk for Warmth directly helps impacts people in Macomb County. For example, funds may help low-income residents with heat-related emergencies like paying utility bills or replacing a broken furnace.
Over the years, the event has raised over $720,000 to help Macomb families stay warm. “There are thousands of Macomb County residents that are in urgent need of heat-related assistance. This is why all donations, big or small, are very important,” Rhonda Powell, director of Macomb Community Action, said in a statement. Powell continued, “Without partners like Macomb Mall, who donated the use of their space, and our financial and in-kind sponsors, this event wouldn’t be the asset that it is today.”
