The Nautical Mile Merchants Association and the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade Committee will be holding a Pirate Ball Friday, May 3, at Blossom Heath Inn.

Two St. Clair Shores organizations are teaming up to host the first Pirate Ball from 6 p.m. - midnight, May 3, at Blossom Heath Inn.

Members of the Detroit Pirates, who have participated in the Memorial Day Parade and Halloween in the Park, will attend the event hosted by the Nautical Mile Merchants Association and is a fundraiser annual parade.

"I don't think anything like this has been done before in St. Clair Shores," said Dave Rubello, one of the organizers of the event. "We want to make this a success so people will come back to the Nautical Mile."

Tickets are $45 each and include dinner (yes there will be turkey legs), music, dancing and auctions to benefit the parade. Tickets are available at Steve's Backroom.
