Shores’ Charity Receives $90,000 Grant

Wigs 4 Kids Accepts Massive Walmart Donation

Wigs 4 Kids, a charity based in St. Clair Shores, recently announced a $90,000 donation from Walmart. The bog box store’s charitable foundation and its Michigan council decided to award the charity the fund last month. Since its founding in 2003, Wigs 4 Kids has assisted over 4,000 children, providing wigs and support services for kids between 3-18.

The grant process began in August, with organizations from across the state competing for funds.
“We heard about the grant program from Cindy Dorazio, a Sam’s Club employee who has been a longtime friend, supporter and volunteer of Wigs 4 Kids,” Wigs 4 Kids CEO Maggie Varney said in a statement.
