Suspects Arrested In Armed Robbery Spree

Police Say Suspects Tied To Series Of Robberies

Late last week, two people were arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies that took place in Warren, Roseville and St. Clair Shores Dec. 21, 2017. Antonio Woods, 20 and Jazimine Ellis, 19 were arrested Jan 4, according to Warren Police.

The first of the three robberies occurred at a 7-Eleven in Roseville Dec 21 around 12:45 am. The suspects then allegedly struck the 7-Eleven on 10 Mile in Warren around 1 a.m., holding a gun to the clerk’s back and forcing him to empty the register before fleeing. Police believe the pair are responsible for four other robberies in St. Clair Shores and Roseville.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office obtained warrants for conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery against both suspects, and their bond has been set at $2 million apiece. The pair will face a preliminary exam in 37th District Court on Jan. 25.

“I am proud of Warren’s officers and how they were able to use technology to solve this crime and the robberies in two neighboring communities,” said Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer in a release, adding “We will continue to use every resource available to make our community safer.”
