Macomb County Sheriff's Office Deputies noticed the suspects take off towards a frozen pond and called in a K-9 to help in the search.

MT. CLEMENS, MI — Macomb County Sheriff's Office Deputies caught two suspects who stand accused of reportedly stealing 16 tires from a Washington Township auto dealership, according to a press release.
The bust happened due to an observant Deputy, who while on patrol, noticed a rental van in a parking spot near the Orchards Chrysler Dealership on Jan. 16 at approximately 2:22 a.m. While one Deputy kept an eye on the van, another Deputy ventured into the dealership lot and discovered tires had been removed from a number of vehicles. The vehicles targeted included Jeeps, Chargers, and Challengers.
Deputies then observed two suspects go towards a frozen pond behind the dealership. Deputies immediately created a perimeter, with the help of Michigan State Police and the Romeo Police Department and a Macomb Sheriff K-9 and an Armada Police Department K-9 were called in to help with the search.
