4-Car Pileup In Troy Kills Woman, Injures Others
A 27-year-old Macomb County woman who was a passenger in the accident died on the scene.
TROY, MI — A chain-reaction crash along a busy road in Troy killed a woman and injured two other people Tuesday afternoon as evening traffic was getting busy.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on John R near Orpington, just north of Big Beaver, WWJ reported. According to the report, the first vehicle, a silver 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, collided with the second, it rolled over. The second vehicle, a gray 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was then hit by another car that unable to stop in time. That car was also rear ended by another car.

A 27-year-old Warren woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the silver Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene, WWJ reported. The driver, a 28-year-old Eastpointe woman, was seriously injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second Jeep, who was not identified, was also treated for suspected serious injuries and transported to a nearly hospital, the report noted.
