About Envolve Winery
Envolve Winery was founded in 2008 when childhood friends Flajnik and Benziger established their wine brand to fulfill a long time dream and to celebrate sustainable, organic and biodynamic vineyards from Sonoma County, California. Practices employed at these vineyards provide healthier vines that ensure more robust flavors and energy from the fruit.
Kroger will have five Envolve wine varieties available at the events, including 2010 Envolve Sauvignon Blanc, 2010 Envolve Carneros Chardonnay, 2008 Envolve Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Envolve Russian River Pinot Noir and 2011 Envolve Sonoma Mountain Rosé, as well as the 2010 Epilogue Chardonnay, from Envolve Winery’s Epilogue brand.
The two Kroger stores where Flajnik and Benziger will host the tastings have wine stewards to assist customers with wine selections.
“Kroger is pleased to host Flajnik and Benziger at our Ann Arbor and Troy stores as they introduce their fine wines,” said Rick Going, president of The Kroger Co. of Michigan. “Envolve wines are proving popular in our Kroger wine sections. We anticipate these events will give guests the opportunity to personally meet the winemakers and help boost customer demand.”
