Assaults and More Reported to Troy Police
The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Assaults
600 block of Century, Aug. 31, 1:41 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. The victims stated two neighbors came to the residence over a disagreement. The suspects began punching and biting the victims. One victim suffered a bloodied lip and the second victim suffered a bruised thigh. One suspect suffered a bloodied nose. Both parties were advised the case would be turned over to the city attorney’s office for review.
Maple and Dequindre, Sept. 3, 11:47 a.m.: Troy officers were dispatched to a road rage incident. The victim advised he turned left on Maple from Dequindre and he thought the vehicle turning onto Dequindre from Maple may have hit his car. The suspect vehicle followed the victim to his home and there was a physical altercation. The victim stated the suspect kicked him and then pepper sprayed him in the face.
Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
1000 block of Jackson, Aug. 29, 12 noon: Complainant advised unknown person(s) used her information to open a Verizon account. The complainant stated no one had her permission to use her information.

4000 block of White Oaks, Aug. 29, 12 noon: Resident advised she was contacted by American Express regarding a purchase of a refrigerator at Sears. Complainant advised she did not make the purchase.
Foot Action, 612 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Aug. 27, 1:50 p.m.: Complainant advised he was contacted by Visa Fraud advising him charges were made in the amount of $190.80 at the Foot Action in Oakland Mall. Complaint advised he did not make the purchase.

Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
West Maple Road and Blaney, Aug. 31, 12:34 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver smelled strongly of alcohol. The driver, a 28-year-old from Fenton admitted to drinking. The driver failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .11 percent.
Crooks and West Long Lake Road, Aug. 31, 3:11 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for an expired plate violation. The driver had blood shot glassy eyes and smelled strongly of alcohol. The driver, a 26-year-old from Sterling Heights failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .15 percent.
Fourteen Mile Road and John R Road, Sept. 2, 3:36 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for an improper turn. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. The driver had slurred speech and admitted to drinking. The driver, a 30-year-old from Longwood, Florida failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .16 percent.
Maple and Rochester Road, Sept. 2, 11:54 p.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. The driver had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from him. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 47-year-old from Troy was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .16 percent.
Larcenies
2000 block of Somerset, Aug. 31, 5:31 p.m.: Complainant advised two bikes were stolen out of his storage locker in the basement of the apartment building. The bikes were valued at $1,400 and $800.
Larcenies from autos
2000 block of Roundtree, Aug. 31 to Sept. 1, 9 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.: Resident advised someone stole the license plate off her vehicle while parked in the carport.
Malicious destruction of property
1000 block of Provincial, Aug. 31, 3 to 3:10 a.m.: Complaint advised he parked his vehicle at the residence when a vehicle drove by and “egged” his Jeep causing damage to the paint.
Minors and alcohol
Rochester and Charrington Drive, Aug. 30, 8:15 p.m.: Troy officers responded to a dispatched call of a possible drunk driver. Witnesses stated a vehicle with “blown out” tires was driving all over the roadway. Officers located the vehicle and the driver was observed attempting to clean his car as he had just vomited on the vehicle. The driver, a 19-year-old from Shelby Twp failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. A blood draw was conducted with results pending.
Interstate-75 and Fourteen Mile Road, Aug. 31, 2:12 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle on the freeway after observing it weaving between the lanes. Officers detected an odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. The driver denied drinking, however he failed field sobrieties. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as a 14-year-old. Officers discovered in the trunk of the vehicle a laptop that had been reported stolen out of Missouri. The driver, a 19-year-old from St Peters, Missouri was arrested for operating while intoxicated, child endangerment, and possession of stolen property.
Skate World, 2825 E. Maple Rd., Aug. 30, 9:52 p.m.: Manager advised an off-duty employee was furnishing alcohol to minors. The suspect was not working, however at the arena to skate. The suspect brought two friends, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old both from Detroit. The suspect gave both underage suspects alcohol to drink. The suspect, a 21-year-old from Troy admitted to furnishing the alcohol to the minors. The suspect was issued a citation for furnishing alcohol to minors. Both minors were issued citations for minor in possession.
Retail fraud
Sephora, 2800 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Aug. 30, 5:06 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting merchandise and placing it in her purse. The suspect then left the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the merchandise valued at $99.64. The suspect, a 48-year-old from Findlay, Ohio was arrested for third-degree retail fraud.
Kohl’s, 500 John R Rd., Sept. 2, 7:31 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting two pairs of shoes and conceal them in her stroller. The suspect left the store without paying for the shoes. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the merchandise valued at $198.99. The suspect, a 34-year-old from Warren was arrested for third-degree retail fraud.
WalMart, 2001 W. Maple Rd., Sept. 3, 9:13 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting trading cards and concealing them under his shirt. The suspect left the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the merchandise valued at $63.68. The suspect, a 17-year-old from Royal Oak was cited for third-degree retail fraud.
