DIA Inside|Out: Patch Readers Pose with the Masterpieces
Half a dozen reproductions of famous paintings are on display throughout Troy through September to help bring awareness to the arts.
The paintings have only been up for a few days in Troy, but they are already catching the eye of many passersby – including a couple of playful Troy Patch readers.
"We were inspired by photos we had seen of other people posing in front of paintings at the other Inside|Out locations. So, we decided to mimic the paintings on display," ExTroyGal (who preferred not to use her real name) told Troy Patch in an email Tuesday. "We hope our photos inspire other people to come out and see the paintings for themselves (and eventually go to the DIA!) and maybe even do their own photo shoot."
The six reproductions for this round of the Inside|Out program in Troy will be on view through Sept. 30. The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is sponsoring the program for 2012 and 2013. For more Inside|Out locations, click here.
