An investigation into an argument turned into a retail fraud bust.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — An investigation into an argument turned into a retail fraud bust, according to a press release. Charges are pending for both of the suspects.
The incident happened on Dec. 28 at 4:52 p.m. Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the 100 block of Dwight St. in Pontiac to investigate an argument between a 29-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman. After interviewing both parties and conducting a vehicle search, detectives surmised that the two are reportedly responsible for retail frauds and larcenies at several Lowe's Home Improvement stores in Oakland County. Stolen plumbing supplies were recovered.
Deputies say that the two suspects, both of Pontiac, would steal products from one Lowe's and return the stolen merchandise to a different Lowe's for gift cards, which they would sell for cash to allegedly support their drug habit.
