Troy-Based Theater Chain Says Adams Will Help Manage Growth

Emagine Entertainment announced that Tripp Adams its first COO, a move the Troy-based cinema chain says will help the company in its upcoming expansion. In this new role, Adams, 41, will supervise more than 1,000 employees in the area and across the region, according to a press release.

"We are committed to growing our franchise through the delivery of first class hospitality and the application of unsurpassed operating practices," Emagine Chairman Paul Glantz said in a statement. "Adding the intellectual prowess and proven business acumen of Tripp to our senior leadership team poises us to grow, prosper and extend our brand reach."

Adams is a proven manager with over twenty years of experience, most recently with Deloitte Consulting LLP in Detroit. Working for Deloitte as a management consultant for acquisitions and divestitures, he oversaw deals worth more than $1.5, according to Emagine.

Tripp, originally from Farmington Hills, joined the U.S. Navy after high school, overseeing ship maintenance operations and the installation of an IT network for a Navy warship, Emagine said. Adams went on to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy. He holds a master's in economics from Old Dominion University and earned his law degree at the University of Michigan.

Emagine owns and operates theaters at 17 locations in Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois. Emagine opened its first theater in 1997.
