Fire Damages Historic Shed at Kresge Foundation

Firefighters responded late Friday morning to a fire in a small red historic shed at the Kresge Foundation on Big Beaver just west of .

"The fire department showed up and found a working fire inside the building," Troy Assistant Fire Chief Chuck Riesterer said. "We found out there was a small Bobcat (machine) inside the building that was on fire."

Firefighters were able to put out the fire; there were no injuries reported.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, Riesterer said.

The fire damaged the shed, though it is not a total loss, a representative for the foundation said.
