Firefighters Free Man Trapped In Flipped Over SUV

Firefighters report that the man was not hurt when his Chevrolet Trailblazer rolled over on its side.

TROY, MI — The Troy Fire Department helped free a man trapped in his flipped over SUV, according to a press release.

Troy firefighters were dispatched to the area of John R at Elliott on Dec. 21 at 9:28 p.m. A late model Chevrolet Trailblazer reportedly rolled over on its side and a man was stuck inside. The man told arriving firefighters he was not hurt in the rollover.

Firefighters immediately got to work stabilizing the Chevy by using support struts. They then opened the Trailblazer from the roof and freed the man, who was then seen by paramedics for an evaluation.

The Troy Police Department was on site and is in the midst of conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the rollover.

No other injuries or fatalities were reported.
