Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Offers a Sweet Treat
Troy city officials welcomed the international chain at its new location on Crooks Road, the first in Michigan.
Troy, are you hungry for some frozen yogurt?
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt of Troy celebrated its store opening, in the Northfield Marketplace, with free goodies that drew in a crowd on Friday afternoon.
The Troy store, at Crooks Road and Corporate Drive, is the first in Michigan for the international chain, which is based in Oklahoma City. One particular Yelp review indicates a "cult" following for Orange Leaf, which is planning new stores in Rochester Hills, Macomb, and Holland in the near future.

According to Troy Economic Development Specialist Glenn C. Lapin, it's easy to see why people like Orange Leaf: "It's a place where people can come year-round and have a healthy snack," Lapin said.
"I think Orange Leaf will do well here. It's a great location. Obviously, the more small businesses we can get in retail centers like this one, the better for the city."

- 16 flavors: "We rotate in-and-out, depending on what people want."
- 36 toppings: "We have pretty much anything you would want to put on frozen yogurt."
- More to come?: "Right now, we have bottled water and we might get soft drinks eventually, but we're dedicated to frozen yogurt."
