Lane, Ramp Closures Could Snarl I-75 Traffic

METRO DETROIT, MI — Road construction projects are increasing this weekend. The Michigan Department of Transportation is conducting extensive work along I-75 in Oakland County while work on I-96 in Detroit will get going on Monday. Here’s a closer look at upcoming work:

Friday - Sunday
I-75 in Oakland County:

• NB I-75 from Crooks Road to Coolidge Highway, right lane closed Friday 4/7, 7 am to 3 pm.
• NB I-75 exit ramp to Crooks Road, RAMP CLOSED, Friday 4/7, 7 am to 3 pm
• SB I-75, Coolidge to Wattles, 2 LANES CLOSED, 1 LANE OPEN Sat 7a-7 p for bridge work.
• NB/SB I-75 at Crooks, 2 LANES CLOSED, ONE LANE OPEN Sun 7 am to 7 pm
• EB/WB Big Beaver RAMPS to NB I-75, RAMP CLOSED, Sun 7 am to 7 pm
• Crooks Rd ramp to NB I-75, RAMP CLOSED, Sun 7 am to 7 p.m.

• Wayne - NB US-24 from Ford to Warren. 1 LANE OPEN, 3 closed Sat 5a-Mon 5a.

Starting Monday, April 10
I-75:

• Oakland- NB I-75 from Long Lake to Coolidge, right lane closed daily 7a-3pm thru Fri-4/14
• Oakland- NB I -75 exit ramp to Crooks, RAMP CLOSED, daily 7a-3p Mon-Tues
• Oakland- SB I-75 from Coolidge to Long Lake, right lane closed daily 9 am to 6 pm, 4/12-4/14
• Oakland- SB I-75 exit ramp to Crooks Road, RAMP CLOSED, daily 9 am to 6 pm, 4/12-4/14 M-53:
• Wayne - NB I-75 at WB I-96 (Interchange ramp): 1 left closed. 1 lane remain open, Mon 9 a-3pm

M-53:

• Macomb - NB M-53 under M-59: Left shoulder closed from Mon. 6 AM to Fri. 12 PM.

I-96:

• Wayne - EB and WB I-96 at West Grand Boulevard and Tireman: Left lane/right lane intermittent closures in both directions from Mon. 9 AM to Mon. 3 PM.
• Wayne - EB I-96 from Greenfield Rd. to Schaefer Rd.: Shoulder closed from Mon. 9 AM to Mon. 3 PM.
• Wayne - EB I-96 at SB I-75: Shoulder closed. One lane remains open from Mon. 9 AM to Mon. 3 PM.
