Troy Man Accidentally Shoots Self in 'Posterior'; Man Injured in Bar Fight

A 24-year-old Troy man is recovering from injuries he sustained when he accidentally shot himself in the buttocks on Nov. 27, according to Troy Police. The incident occurred on the 1000 block of Crimson.
The resident reported he had raised the shotgun over his head and placed it behind his back, pointed toward the ground. The gun was loaded with birdshot; however, the man "was unaware there was a round in the chamber," read the media release from Troy Police.
The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Hubcaps, catalytic converter stolen
A resident reported the catalytic converter on his Pontiac Aztec was stolen at on Sunday, according to a Troy Police media release. On Friday, a Troy resident reported two center caps were stolen from his GMC Envoy on the 1200 block of Coolidge.
Embezzlement at TJ Maxx
A 26-year-old TJ Maxx employee from Southfield admitted to making several fraudulent cash refunds from inactive layaway accounts, according to Troy Police. She was released pending further investigation by the Troy Police Detective Bureau.

Bar fight ends in head injury
Troy Police are still investigating a bar fight at that sent a Clawson man to the hospital with a head injury and fractured eye socket late Monday night. The man was found lying on the ground near the entrance to the restaurant; the other man had fled the scene. The injured man's condition Thursday was unknown.
Witnesses stated the two individuals had been "exchanging words" when it turned physical. The man who fled was later identified; not warrants had yet been issued as of late Thursday afternoon.
